Z is for Zipper

This one happens to be on a bag. Now, you don’t know what’s in the bag because I haven’t told you. And I’m not going to tell you because I don’t know how you’ll react if I share. There are people who get to know what’s in that bag, and they already do, but you don’t. You aren’t one of those people. This is an allegory.

The picture actually goes with some thoughts I had about communication rejection and exploitation. It’s a reminder of sorts.

So, you know, I’ll walk carefully. I’ll show less, give less, put myself out there less and see what happens.

Instruments and people need to be in tune to harmonize. But not everyone wants to play, nor can they all read sheet music. Sometimes, they just don’t have the time to look at it. And, too, people are more or less adept at playing by ear. Or they might be out of practice. Sometimes, people will just get out of tune for a season. It happens. Sometimes they stay out of tune forever. And it’s hard to tell in the moment which is which. Maybe you get a new godin multiac at guitar center or re-string the old one and play together again…or maybe you take up the oboe. Choices.
